Hi Guys,

We aren't Renegade owners yet, but we're hoping to get one in our shop to prototype rock sliders, roof racks and possibly a winch mount and lift kit. The winch mount will dependent on the amount of room there is and the lift kit will be dependent on how the suspension is set up from the factory.

If you are in Utah (or willing to visit), and are interested in this, please get in touch with us, 888-801-7271 and we'll try to arrange something. In exchange for the use of your Jeep, we will install the parts on your vehicle for free.

Welcome aboard RockyRoadOutfitters,

Glad you can join us. There are a number of the threads you may have already read on accessories, larger tires, smaller wheels, wheel adapters, lift kits, winches, etc, etc. We are really excited to have an aftermarket manufacturer join use.

I've updated the accessories thread with some of the latest winch posts and a repost of your offer.

Please join us over on that thread as well:

A lift kit would be great. I Know a lot of guys wanted just that or wanted to weight out possible options.
How likely is it that you'll come out with a lift kit?
Right now we're hesitant to say that a lift can easily be done. We wanted to do one for the new Cherokee, and it's possible, just not feasible. It would involve a new lower control arm...no big deal. But, the problem is that in order to replace the control arm it requires lifting the motor part way out. Bye bye warranty. The kit would be more expensive than most because of the complexity of the control arm, the lift would be very expensive to install, you'd lose the factory warranty, and you'd only get 1-2" of lift.

Using $100/hour shop rates, we calculated that it would cost about $4500 to lift the Cherokee 1-2". When you factor in the loss of the factory warranty we didn't think there'd be much of a market for it. Maybe when factory warranties start running out we'll look at it again.

Our research was confirmed last year at Easter Jeep Safari when Jeep Underground brought a Cherokee on 33s. They basically told people that the stock Cherokee cannot be lifted and that their vehicle was a 1-off that would never see production.

We're hoping that the Renegade isn't that way, but we're not holding our breath.

There are already several places selling lifted Renegades in Europe.

3/4 to 1" seems to be the easiest. They are apparently using only spring spacers if we are translating it right.
1.5" with " engine plate modifications " (???) per the Google Translated Italian web site.

The Italian web site has pictures of a lifted Latitude and lists the lifts, but no prices.

The Danish web site Mastercraft has 2 Lifted Renegade Trail Hawks.
One is black the other red.
Lift on the Black one is 3/4", tire size is stock ( 27-28" x 8.8 - 9.2" sectional width )

And, lets not forget about the South American Mopar Renegade Trailhawk LIFT:

So, any comparison to the Cherokee can be put to REST!!!
Are you sure this isn't a one-off like the Cherokee? I am aware of the spacers that the European companies are using to slightly raise the Renegades but am not sure if there is anything similar for the Cherokees. If lifting a Cherokee isn't feasible or cost effective but is doable on the Renegade, FCA will be losing quite a few Cherokee sales and some shoppers will be going for Renegades.

There are no lift kits available for the Cherokee, it is not cost effectively available, let the Cherokee sales slip begin.

Renegade Lifts:

1) France: IndianCars: Custom Lift - Excape Edition
2) Italy: G-Force: Standand and Extreme Kits for sale (Extreme is a mod not spacers)
3) Turkey: Master Service - Lifted, Photos and Videos here on the forum.
4) Brazil: Mopar Lift - Photos above and on other threads.

5) U.S.: who will be first to come out with a kit ???

I'm a local here in Utah. Talked to your shop and sent Matt an email. Looking forward to working with you all in growing the Renegade mod market!

Watch out for RRO's support and service.

Check out the Cherokee forums for many stories of missing parts, mismatched parts, bad support experiences, and more.

That said, if you can get around the bad support/service aspect, their parts are very good quality after you cover them with your own rattle-can liner or Line-X.
