I got a Scenic Dynamique TomTom. Have you turned the volume down on the nav? If I disable the voice guidance then there ain't no audible warning, just a flashing icon. I dunno if it is the same on the Renegade navigation? Sorry I can't be more helpful.

As kevin said. you have to adjust the volume of each thing (radio media satnav) when you are its own screen.

Spoke to TomTom today about sometinhg else but did also ask about this. Cameras will, according to them, only make warngin noise if route is planned and the voice guidance is active. I hate this as I want to hear the camera warning at all times, whether I have a route planned in or not and I most certainly don't want that voice keep interrupting to tell me where to turn. He's not sure why TomTom went down this path but apparently that is the way on all new TomTom units

No idea why Tom Tom would do that. On the uconnect 6.5 inch set-up on the Trailhawk I think its Garmin navigation and you do have the option to show cameras and get a warning beep even though no routes are planned...though I normally rely on my Road Angel for longer journeys (can be a bit annoying since it alert you to all known possible camera van locations..having said that it has saved me on a number of occasions).

They told you incorrect information, as my speed camera alerts are active even without a route planned.

Considering that you can buy excellent stand-alone satnavs for very little money these days, I don't understand why Jeep seem to find it so difficult to install a decent one. Just pick one and bolt it in, fer crissake!
