I've got a new Latitude, had about a month. Was driving yesterday with a laptop bag 15-20 lbs. on the passenger seat, and the seatbelt chime was intermittently going off. This seems overly sensitive. Can this sensitivity be adjusted? Is this the correct behavior in the first place?

Thanks.

I too have had this same thing happen with my work laptop. I have resorted to either putting my laptop on the floor or in the back seat. If anyone has a fix to this please share.

Yup, that's normal for the sensors in lots of cars. Had that happen in my last car, and several rentals.

Do the seats for very small children that fit on the front seat not require the seat belt to be fastened? I don't suppose they weigh very much so the alarm at low weight may be deliberate.
