Is there a security alarm standard on the renegade? I noticed that there was one added on one of the packages think is was safety and security?
Security alarm?

Wondered about that myself as I was messing around with the configurator. Seems silly to not have a standard alarm system these days.

There is no security alarm standard. You do get the remote door lock/unlock and the key is RFID tagged and the vehicle has an engine immobilizer in conjunction with that.
It doesn't make beeping nosies if someone opens a door while locked or tries to tow it. Nobody listens to them anyway, and insurance doesn't discount for that anymore, so I don't really see it as something I had to have. I was concerned prior to them actually hitting the US that no security system meant no remote lock/unlock, which would have been a deal breaker on anything without the safety and security package.
