I wanted to share a recent experience I had with my 2017 jeep Renegade. My service engine light came on, my remote start stopped working, the outside temperature was not displaying, and my A/C stopped working. We took it to auto zone to put it on the diagnostic and we were told the outside air temperature sensor needed replaced. To our dismay the part was not available from from auto zone. We called the dealership and we're told parts and labor to fix it would be close to $500 because the whole mirror needed to be replaced. My resourceful husband began searching the internet and found the part pictured
on etsy for $30 with shipping. It's a tiny sensor that goes inside the mirror. It took him about 5 minutes to install. And saved us hundreds of dollars! Everything is back to working order! I hope this helps someone!
