Have a new Renegade and have this indication,
pic of fab and message: "Service Passive Entry System"
has anyone experienced this and dealer resolving of this, what was involved, did they fix it? Keep car to repair etc...

Just a shot in the dark... try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about 15-30 min. Seems to help some folks with issues.Hi Kevin
My daughter is getting this error message now and has 3000 miles. What was the result? I have called three Jeep dealerships and the corporate office and this error message is not listed anywhere. There was also a difference of opinion in what it could be. My daugter is taking in this afternoon for them to test the battery in the fob.
I would love to know what your experience has been.
Just tried this and it worked!I pushed the button to just to turn the car on but not start it to run (push button without pushing brake) and it's like the car reset itself. the light and error are gone. I will keep an eye on it of course but just wanted to let anyone know who experiences this problem what worked for me. It's not anywhere in the manual.
