Hey everyone!
I recently bought a 2016 Trailhawk and I wanted to get some advice from people with experience!
I have a few questions and I would greatly appreciate it if y'all could help me out!
Some of these questions might be a bit obvious, but I'm new to the off-road community so I'm trying to learn a bit.

1. For the sake of power, what is the best way to add a little more kick to my 2.4L?
2. I wanted to get an offset kit(I think its called an offset kit) for the tires, but I'm afraid it will rub, what would be most beneficial for the Renegade? Also, what type of tires would benefit me best for off-road fun and for daily driving?
3. What are your favorite exterior mods for the Renegade?
4. When should I use 4WD Low and 4WD Lock and well as the third button the the dial?
5. Is it normal for the Renegade to not go down to first gear when I make a complete stop? This worries me a bit because when I do it manually and then put it back to automatic, it jerks back to 2nd gear on its own, is that a safety measure or is that something I have to get checked out?

I'll probably have more questions later, but that's all for now. Let me know what you all think,
Thanks!

couple of answers, go to maddness motors, get the go pedal for power boost, also have various bullbars and lights to add, also brush protectors for head and tail lights----NOT trying to push one company,BUT i have had good results buying from them, a little pricey but worth it
trans should drop to first gear when stopped. maybe a computer upgrade needed, just a guess

1. For the sake of power, what is the best way to add a little more kick to my 2.4L?
Madness makes an upgrade for this called the Go Pedal. It's pretty nice, wish I had one.

If you're talking about wheel spacers, there's little benefit. It's just for appearance mostly. Does provide a slightly wider/more stable footprint, but I would argue that the 1.5-2" you gain overall makes little difference.
Also, what type of tires would benefit me best for off-road fun and for daily driving?
A good set of All Terrain (A/T) are helpful. There's plenty of threads on this with sizes and options. Do a search and you'll find lots of info.
3. What are your favorite exterior mods for the Renegade?
I love my cargo basket. It looks nice and adds space for when I go on longer trips.
4. When should I use 4WD Low and 4WD Lock and well as the third button the the dial?
4WD low is for crawling basically. You can lock 4WD whenever you need the extra traction. Mud, snow, rock, sand... The dial changes the gearing based on the terrain you select. The "Snow" setting has been awesome for me in the winter. Much smoother acceleration from a stop to prevent slipping around.
5. Is it normal for the Renegade to not go down to first gear when I make a complete stop?
The Trailhawk (TH) will always start from a stop in 2nd gear, not 1st. 1st gear is what it uses when you switch to 4low. You do not need to shift down into 1st when you're manually changing gears for every day driving. This is specific to the TH model, all other models will utilize 1st gear regularly.

I appreciate that, thanks so much for the information!

Along with Madness, check Rocky Road Outfitters and Valkyrie. As far as mods... among other things, I added a rear diff skid plate. Why the TH didn't come with one is a mystery.

Along with Madness, check out Rocky Road Outfitters, Valkyrie, and Avid. I did the Avid 1.5" lift and also added a rear diff skid plate. Next mod will be installing hood louvers.

The Go Pedal is a must! Just be careful using it in the performance modes on the road. I got a ticket one of the first days I had it because of the difference starting from a stop.
