I kust got my new 2022 Renagade Altitude 3/21/23! I traded in my paid for 2018 Sport 4x4 2.4l with less than 50,000 miles. Excellent condition!!! But it was a Sport and was a base model except the wheels came with the 17 inch aluminum wheels. I have been waiting for this Renegade to hit the lot since February 2022 imagine my disappointment when i took delivery 7 days ago that i start finding little things that Stalantis decided to cut corners on!!! The first thing i noticed was there was no liftgate badge with Altitude on it.... no trim badge at all. The second thing was i made them open the hood and check the oil in front of me! Well no plastic engine cover. And i understand the off in the summer!! But being on it in the winter is good where i live. The 3rd thing i was told to wait 24 to 48 hours b4 the SiriusXM Guardian would be activated. The phone app was activated can start, stop, lock, unlock, an sound the horn from the phone. But on the uconnect the Assistant, SOS, does not work but should with a free year. None of these thinks are important nor will affect the performance. Its the principle of the matter!! They a cover on the 1.3l as standard equipment... they offer the Guardian for 1 year.... the badge is unknown at this point. Limited's have a rear badge. I will post pics of my build an show that the cover is there... but not on my Jeep. And i will post pics of her after i put a few clothes on her!! 😆 Automotive parking light Tire Vehicle Hood Automotive tire

i had to buy my engine cover.

hate to say it but jeep has gone down hill like a ore train in cali

I am looking at a new trailhawk with hitch. love a forester sport if i can get a good price
Sounds like penny-pinching. And as Altitude may be an NA only spec then they've deleted the badge? ☹

On some other FCA cars like the Alfa Romeo, there was a time when buying a 2nd hand one was a nightmare as there was no indication of trim level and even the reg docs were sometimes incorrect.
Congratulations!

As far as we can tell, Jeep hasn't put an engine cover on the 1.3T since several years now. At least since my 2021 Trailhawk.

Sometime before that, yes. But at least as of 2021, no.

Yes i am finding out no one is getting a cover... but if it shows it has one on the build site i think they ought provide one to the people who want it. I am not a lawyer but seems to me its false advertising. When i picked it up i was expecting to see what ordered.

Looks like you're right -- on the build site:

I looked all over for the small-print disclaimer that "European version shown" or "what you see ain't necessarily what you get." But nothing like that.

I'm actually happy not having an engine cover. I really don't think it would contribute much to noise abatement, or temperature regulation. And it's less stuff to take off when doing work.

I believe Ops managed to convince his dealer that they should have provided a cover, and got them to get him one. He described installing it in another thread.
