My husband and I just purchased the 2015 Jeep Renegade Latitude.

We are having a heck of a time finding a spare tire for it. We prefer a donut since room is limited but will do a full size if nothing else.

Jeep dealership quoted 815.00 just for the aluminum rim and no tire.

The size is 215/60/17. What are my options?

Spare Tire

I told my dealer I wanted a spare tire (with a latitude). I guess I'm just old fashioned like that. So they said they would make it happen and I paid a ton extra and everything, but they can't seem to get one. It sounds like they aren't even in production, so it's not just a case of waiting for a slow boat from Italy.

Is that really true? It's impossible to get a full size spare tire for a jeep? I suppose that's sort of the same as the sun roof and trailer hitch?

As a side note, it's been a good car so far. No complaints, other than the lack of spare tire. I suppose if I drive over a nail and have to deal with the fix-a-flat stuff or wait for a tow truck, then I'll have more to complain about.
I ordered a rim from ebay & I'll buy a cheap tire for it at walmart & come up with a scissor jack somewhere. It should cost around $200.
So how did you manage to do this? Did you order it through your dealerships parts department? If so then what was the part number and what did it cost you? And did it come with a jack kit? Love to see a picture of the spare and jack stowed in your trunk.
FYI, when I totaled the 2019 Sport, I kept the above mentioned steel rim spare. It turns out that the diameter of the spare is within 3 or 4 mm of the diameter of the 225/55TR18 that are on the 2022 Altitude that I bought. It's a close enough match for a spare tire.
