In case this wasn't covered - the 2017 full size spare does have tpms (I have a 2017 Limited in the USA).

EXCERPT FROM THE OWNERS MANUAL - USA
Vehicles With Matching Full-Size Spare
1. The matching full size spare wheel and tire assembly
has a tire pressure monitoring sensor that can be monitored
by the TPMS.
2. If you install the full size spare in place of a road tire that
has a pressure below the low-pressure warning limit, a
chime will sound and the “TPMS Telltale Light” will
turn on upon the next ignition key cycle. In addition, the
instrument cluster will display a Tire Low message, an
Inflate to XXmessage and a graphic showing the low
tire pressure value in a different color.
3. After driving the vehicle for up to 20 minutes above
15.5 mph (25 km/h) the “TPMS Telltale Light” will turn
OFF, as long as no tire pressure is below the lowpressure
warning limit in any of the four active road
tires.
4. The instrument cluster will display a graphic showing
the tire pressure value in the same color as the other
pressure values in place of the different color low tire
pressure value. The instrument cluster will also display
a “SPARE LOW PRESSURE” message to remind you to
service the flat tire.

I purchased my Latitude off the lot on October 3rd, and ordered the temp spare tire kit that same day from the dealership for $195. Because of the back order issue I picked it up yesterday, nearly two months later. I have no space issues, I was able to fit the inflator kit and jack kit that came with it around the tire. I was still able to store my My Sky panel bag above the tire area, and below the cargo floor.
lindseym00 How did you fit the spare tire kit and jack kit and still store the My Sky panel bag?

full size spare for 18 Renegade....

new to the brand....so far, so great. Quite a cult Jeep has running, (I'm a recovering VW owner)

So odd that they did not fit the ride with a spare: just the flat fix kit.

Anyone rig their Renegade with full sized spare and rim? Looks like a tight fit and not looking to screw around with the Styrofoam insert in the hatch, (only 1800 miles on the Renegade).

Thanks Renegades...

They fit straight in. You just take out the polystyrene insert. (It's just held in place by a bolt to the spare wheel bolt hole.)

You'll also need a jack.

Bought a wheel from Hickman Motors (junk yard) for $100 and then bought a new tire on Amazon for $55. After taking out secondary cover and foam, fits fine. Just had to buy a 6" long metric bolt to use with the stock round plate to hold down tire. Not much room for much else in there, but was able to get a box in with jack, wrenches to use in case of a flat. Really hated driving around with no spare.

You can get more room if you place the outside of the rim facing down. You might have done that but if not give it a try. It gives a little more room for stuff.

I have spare Fluorescent Yellow waterproofs, Orange waterproof jacket, small tools, jump leads, tyre inflation kit, wheel wrench and few other bits and bobs squashed into the tyre well by having the wheel upside down.

The sense of security and peace of mind I have with a proper spare tyre is second to none. :D:D:D

Oh and don't forget my Jeep supplied package of car care aerosols :p

Spare Tire

I told my dealer I wanted a spare tire (with a latitude). I guess I'm just old fashioned like that. So they said they would make it happen and I paid a ton extra and everything, but they can't seem to get one. It sounds like they aren't even in production, so it's not just a case of waiting for a slow boat from Italy.

Is that really true? It's impossible to get a full size spare tire for a jeep? I suppose that's sort of the same as the sun roof and trailer hitch?

As a side note, it's been a good car so far. No complaints, other than the lack of spare tire. I suppose if I drive over a nail and have to deal with the fix-a-flat stuff or wait for a tow truck, then I'll have more to complain about.
I ordered a rim from ebay & I'll buy a cheap tire for it at walmart & come up with a scissor jack somewhere. It should cost around $200.

FYI, when I totaled the 2019 Sport, I kept the above mentioned steel rim spare. It turns out that the diameter of the spare is within 3 or 4 mm of the diameter of the 225/55TR18 that are on the 2022 Altitude that I bought. It's a close enough match for a spare tire.
