Does anyone have any info on the special editions that were brought around on the car show circuit in 2014?

Specifically, the Riptide edition, the blue was mind blowing so I would love to see what it's equipped with and if/when it will be available.

I think those were Mopar editions, meaning it was showing off aftermarket parts. I don't think those particular Renegades will ever be sold on the lot as new vehicles.


But you should be able to buy all the pieces and make it yourself!

They were show cars. They aren't special editions.

That being said, highly placed Jeep people said there will be regular special editions like they have done with other vehicles. The only special edition so far is the EU opening edition, which was option bundling and pricing as well as minor interior changes (colored bezels). Stickers and wheels will definitely be there at some point, no reason a special paint couldn't be there as well.

I just hope that a special edition influenced by the Apollo edition will be introduced.. I'd buy on the spot!

It's basically a Limited with some standard options you would normally have to get as packages/options for extra money. It has special wheels (the ones offered on the US latitude trim) and an opening edition badge. It only comes in two colors but it's actually a pretty nifty deal
