400 miles a year? This thing is sitting for ages. Hard to believe this much rust would be there. Do you only drive it in the winter?
Steering Knuckle Rust
Excessive rust on my (2015 Renegade with 28000mls on the clock) steering knuckle or normal for salty winter roads?
Top pic is my steering knuckle showing the ball joint. I've noticed what seems to be a small hole forming or is it an imperfection in the casting?
I've taken a screenshot of a steering knuckle that was on sale on the net which also appears to have an imperfection around the same spot.
Is this normal or something I should be worried about?
