I bought the first Trailhawk that showed up at my dealer more than a month ago. So far, I have driven 1,100 trouble free miles (knocks wood). I'm glad I got mine.

If you like the car just get it. If there are any issues, the warranty will take care of it. Sure, some on here have had problems, but many have not.

My kids have long since grown and moved away, but for younger kids, there is plenty of room. The space is ample for teenagers too unless you are extraordinarily tall and have the front seats all the way back.

This.
I bought my 4x4 Latitude a month ago and have put 1500 miles on it with zero issues. My first Jeep... loving it. :ReneBlueWave:

I am personally going to wait. I'm a very patient individual that wants more information on the vehicle as it is being introduced. Even if I have to wait a year I don't have an issue with that. I don't think it is stupid at all to buy one now especially if you are not "settling" on color or options I would say go for it. Make sure you are alert on any software upgrades. Good Luck and Make you sure you use the "sales" hold in your negotiating. Dealers won't be seeing anymore of these for a little while.

Good suggestion. You are buying this at the risk of having problems. Most of them don't know the Renegade is not going to be shipping out for a month or so. Use it to your advantage.

If the Renegade is a "weekend toy" or secondary vehicle then I would do as you please. If you really need a dependable vehicle and reply on it to transport yourself or a loved one with reasonable certainty then I would look elsewhere. There are too many issues to ignore. Read what FCA's own CEO is saying. How could anyone wonder about this decision after hearing what the man who "is in the know" better than anyone feels about this situation.

Read the "Hundreds of Jeep..." thread. Do you still wonder?
