I have this same issue. Fully extending it to the windshield then putting it back up seems to help but.... that is a bandaid not a fix.

First time to the dealer in 2 years. Visors wont stay up. Advisor looked at them and ordered new ones. Take a few days to get in. 500 miles to warranty expires. Otherwise all else good. :)

Got mine replaced under warranty when the replaced the warped MySky panels last month.

Initially got the 'They all do that." from the dealer.

"If your demo car over there does it then I'll drop it."

Replaced without further resistance. ;)

My replacements are on order by the dealer as a warranty job. No arguments when I pointed out the problem.

FWIW, I found that lowering the visors while the car is sitting in hot weather (more than 32 Celsius/90 Fahrenheit) e.g. to hold up sunshades are what did it in my 2015; after that they wouldn't retract back. I'll forego using them for that purpose when I get the replacements done.

4 months and 3 ignored calls later, the dealer has no record and denies the service advisor on the business card ever worked there.

I'll fix it myself right rather than dealing with the damage from bad dealer service with replacement part.

Hello,

Similar issue as well. My wife's 2016 Renegade - Driver sides - visor won't go all the way and stay up.
I took it off and tried the velcor fix, but no good.

What did you end up doing? Any aftermarket replacement; rather than cheap mopar ones?

Thanks

I just had this happened with my 2015 TH. It was VERY frustrating. I couldn't find any other solve except to go to the dealer (tried Velcro and all the other youtube quick fixes. None were successful).

Took one day to get the part then they insalled within a few hours. Total Cost was $64 for the part and $140 for Labor.

Yeah, sucked but just really needed it fixed and out of options. If anyone has found a solve for this, i'm very interested to know for when my other one eventually goes out (sounds like this is a big issure for the Renegade)

I am just pissed about my drivers side visor. Just like everyone else...the spring inside has sprung. No fixing have to replace for $238 which includes labor. With all the issues it should be a warranty part.Mine is a 2016 Jeep Renegade Sport

I got my 2015 Jeep Renegade 2015 at the dealership - I've been the only owner so I know the car and its parts haven't been abused.

So, the passenger side visor doesn't want to go all the way back up and stay there. This just started today. As the picture shows, when I try to fold the visor all the way up to the roof, it won't stay.. leaving a gap between the visor and roof that's roughly 3 inches. My Jeeps mileage just hit 12,000 but unfortunately I don't have any kind of warranty.

What the best way to fix this issue? I'm a little OCD so this is going to get irritating..🤷🏼‍♀️

That certainly sounds frustrating! If you don't find the answers you're seeking from the other forum members, we'd suggest a visit to your preferred Jeep dealership. Let us know if you need any support while there.
