There is something about Fiat-Chrysler's decision to launch the new Jeep Renegade in Europe several months before US buyers can pick one up that rubs me the wrong way. Jeep is an American brand, and while its nice to have an American brand be sold overseas, you'd think they would give a brand new model to the Americans before the Europeans. I guess this is what happens to a brand that is going global.
The Jeep Renegade will be offered later this year in Europe, and then in the US in early 2015 before sales start off in Brazil and China.
To make sure that people abroad really know that the Renegade is a Jeep, there are no fewer than nine 'Jeep' logos displayed inside and out on the Limited trim level.
