When I got my Longitude I should have got the parking pack but I didn't and now I want to fit a parking camera. I intend to fit the camera in the same location as the factory fitted camera but in order to do that I need to know how to remove the tailgate trim. The only bolt or screw I can find is in the bottom of the hand well along the bottom edge of the tailgate, that you use to close the tailgate.

Does anyone know how to remove the interior tailgate trim?

I'm guessing that the wires for the factory camera inside the tailgate will still be there, does anyone know what the connection on the end is like? Also, could I just wire another camera into that loom and would it then work on the UConnect display?

The alterative is a replacement rear view mirror with built in LCD and wiring in a camera so that it picks up power when the reversing light comes on.

I should point out I live buy a junior school and it's difficult to see kids when they're behind me due to the high rear window.

I want to do the same on my Uk Longitude that doesn't come with a parking camera ... did you ever find the answer to this question.. ?? My UK dealer didn't know the answer to this but said they would try to find out ..

I think its the same answer as those of us that did not get navigation. There is no way to install and integrate after market navigation and keep all the Uconnect stuff as well.

You can fit a camera but there no way you can wire it up to the head unit .. no wiring and the software doesn't match ..
