Hi, I'm from Jon from Chicago. This is my first post. I test drove the red 2wd sport and blue 4wd latitude. I took them out for about 15 minutes each, very fun to drive. It has nice power, and control(did a uTurn easily). I'm 6'3 and this car is so roomy inside, plenty of headroom. The colors are sharp and the blue is awesome in person! I'm waiting for the dealers to get the mysky in for the latitude to purchase(they said mid April is realistic). I'm sold, love the car!

Thanks for your initial impressions. Just curious, what did you think of the back seat. Did it have any leg room at all (behind where you sat in the driver's seat)? Just wondering if a 6 footer could sit behind a 6 footer in this vehicle from a leg room standpoint.

I sat behind the drivers seat with the same seat position and yes there is leg room, but it is tight fit. The question is how long I would be comfortable in the backseat though. Honestly, I was impressed with the seating especially driver and passenger and the backseat is expected for a subcompact SUV. Hope this helps

Just to be clear, is my translation below correct?

You adjusted the drivers seat to fit you, and then you could fit in the seat behind yourself in a manner that would work for heading out to dinner with a car full of people.

Hi there!

How smooth was the ride? Did you go over and bumps? And what out road noise?

Thanks

Yes, the drivers seat remained in the same position. In my opinion you could get away with 2 people(6'3-6'5) in the back seat comfortably. Three people is doable but don't think it would be preferred. Road trips would most likely be uncomfortable but under 1 hour commute should be more than fine.

Hi! When I took the 4WD Latitude out it handled very smoothly. I had the windows down when I was driving and could hear the radio perfectly fine; nothing out of the ordinary. I tested it out in a huge open parking lot that was hilly and it handled fine along with the speed bumps(executing quick turns was a breeze). Back on the street, I did a few burnouts and it goes zero-40/50mph quite fast off of a redlight/stop sign. I didn't get a chance to take it out on the highway yet to test out the road noise with the windows up with high speeds/wind factor. I am waiting for the mySky to make it here!.

Thanks for the comments on the Sierra Blue, thats the color I want, good to hear it looks awesome. It reminds me of the blue FJ Crusier I wanted but just found it to large and poor mpg. I really like the pop of the Sierra Blue.

Ok, so what's your inseam, are you more leg or more torso?

I'm a teensy bit under 6'7", ~37"inseam and ~39" sleeve.

Hey CalTom I drive a Fiat 500L as my daily driver. But I also have a FJ Cruiser to tow my boat. For a 4 wheel drive truck with a V6 I think it gets darn good MPG's all things considered. There's lots of other SUV's out there that don't get anywhere close to the FJ's mileage. And the ride is so comfortable and just plenty of power going up big mountains. My boat and trailer weigh 4800 lbs and it's rated to tow 5000 and I can barely notice that I am pulling a boat behind me. Have had zero problems with it since I got it in new 2006 as an 07 model. I highly recommend it.

My inseam is 34'. The driver & passenger seat would have plenty of room for you. If you needed to sit in the back you would be fine but the front seat would probably need to be moved up slightly for your comfort. I was very impressed with the inside, very roomy.
