Hi! New to the forum and first post. I have been interested in the renegade for awhile now and considering pulling the trigger after another test drive. I found a great deal on a loaded Justice edition but was a bit disappointed when I knew more about some of the features of the renegade than the salesman. Still was a great ride even after checking that they over-inflated one tire and under inflated the opposite one.

I have to admit I do still have a few reservations. I haven't picked up a new car before as I have always had beaters and the newest car I have owned before now was a 2004 Grand am but I think this will be ideal overall. I was hesitant due to some of the bugs I have heard but it sounds like majority of them were in the 2015 units so I am hoping that even with the warranty, I won't have to go in for service often. I did have a couple of questions that I haven't been able to find the answers to.

1. Has anyone had any issues with the Grip assist handles? They don't seem that sturdy and I only worry because I often have to take my father in for doctors appointments and worry he will pull too hard on it.

2. Not to say I don't wear my seatbelt but.. is there a way to turn off the chime? It seemed more incessant than other vehicles I have been in.

3. I am planning on test driving a Trailblazer as well but.. to be honest I think I will still prefer the Justice/Latitude version. Aside from the type of 4WD/hill descent and a few other extras, are the suspensions that much different? I don't plan on lifting mine as I prefer a more steady ride and will barely go off road, though I like having the option.

Finally, is there a way for me to see via the touchscreen what the most up to date program versions/updates are? I want to make sure they have them all completed.

Thanks!

Just go for a limited edition 4x4 then, a more subtle difference with more of everything you want on options. IMHO.

Take a look at the video link below. About 56s in the designer talks about how the grab handle was designed and how strong it is.

Has for the handles above the doors thats probably another matter.
