I really don't want to go down the path of ordering but I'm having a heck of a time finding a black TH with NAV and the cold weather package. Anyone know of NAV upgrade possibilities? Those options are non-negotiable for me. Everything else is on the table. Dealer just told me over 4 months to order. :crying:

I live in the Denver metro area. Willing to travel a couple hundred miles to get what I want. Also, a thought just occurred to me, what if I get the one I want and just put an aftermarket NAV/Stereo in? Looks like I can get something real nice under $1,500. Or are the electronics too integrated?

If you put an aftermarket head in, you'll lose all your custom controls for the body. Your settings will stay as they are, but you need the factory head to adjust them. I didn't order the 6.5 either. I prefer the nav apps on my phone.

Wait for the aftermarket to catch up. Based on problems people are having with getting certain functions to work on the 6.5... and the fact that a 6.5" display nowadays is really laughably inadequate and outdated... you might as well just use your smartphone and bluetooth pairing to fill your nav and music streaming needs until an aftermarket option become available (if Renegade specific install kits aren't already out yet).

Frankly, if you go down this path you might not even find the need for a larger integrated screen. I bought my 2007 Element in 2010 and have been using a smartphone for nav and music since with a Belkin product plugged into the factory Aux-In to add bluetooth. Have had the itch to get an aftermarket system in the past but soon realized what I've done works just fine.

Plus, much easier to update a nav app on the phone than to update/upgrade map data in a head unit. And when I leave the car, I always have the phone with me; no need to worry about crackheads breaking into my car to get at a fancy head unit.

If you haven't already be sure to call Autonation in Golden. They had three black TH models but I don't know if navigation/cold was part of the package. I know one of them had MySky but I think it was around $29625 so that probably means no Nav or cold weather. It's worth a call.

I didn't order nav due to the price but I couldn't find a TH with cold weather and tow package so I had to order mine. I have a trailer I use to go the dump and I get firewood. I have gotten over 10 chords of firewood with my Patriot so this should handle the same. I think due to lack of supply you would probably be happy just ordering what you want.i know I am, especially after seeing what a pain it would be to install a tow hitch or seeing that just swapping radios is not really an option

Suggest you go sit down at a local dealership and tell them you want them to do a dealer search to see just how far away the car that you want is. They should be able to do that. Just tell them that you would want them to do a dealer trade. They buy your car from another dealer. They go fetch it for you. And they then sell that dealer one of their cars. Problem with doing this is that you have to pay them to drive to another dealer to get your car and there's almost no chance they will bargain on the price. But at least you can find out how few are out there and how far away they are.

Or you can try to call Jeep customer service yourself and ask them to locate one for you. You then call that dealer and see if you can make a deal over the phone and you go get the car yourself. Cut out the local dealer all together.

Chances are that there's not a lot of them out there. You may just have to order it and wait for it. I also want the nav system plus a full size spare and a tonneau cover. I also like the set up of the larger screen that comes with the nav system. But there's none out there with just those options in any color. So when I am ready to buy I'm fairly certain that I will need to order. I really don't want to get stuck with something that I don't want like keyless entry and keyless start. Call me old fashioned but I think that's something that will break and I like the idea of being able to start a car or being able to turn it off with a key.

So just be patient and order it so you can get exactly what color you want and exactly what equipment you want and none of the extra's that you don't want.
