The Jeep Renegade will launch in Europe first

The 2015 Jeep Renegade is hot. But if you want to drive it, you're going to have to wait a bit for that opportunity. For the first time in the history of Jeep, the Renegade will launch in Europe several months before US buyers can pick one up.

eep will offer the Renegade in Europe later this year and then in the US in early 2015 before sales kick off in Brazil and China. The newly-formed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will roll out the baby Jeep as it spreads the Alfa Romeo wealth in the US and in other NAFTA countries.

The new Renegade combines a small form factor that will do well in Europe and China; it sports the familiar boxy Jeep look and rugged Trail Rated gear that US buyers dig. To ensure that the Renegade can be easily recognized as a Jeep in any country, there are no fewer than nine 'Jeep' logos displayed—both inside and out—on the Limited trim level.

Even with black lower panels it looks hot, now we need to see what it looks like with all those lower panels body colored.
yea i find it pretty funny how a jeep is going to launch in europe before north america

but in all honesty i hope this car does great for jeep in europe.
i find it kind of ironic that an american branded car is being released in europe first

at least they get to work out and deal with all the new car kinks before it comes here :)
Now we just more people from Europe on the forum so they can brag and tell how great/bad the renegade really is.

But its not so american after all, I mean the platform is FIAT and Renegade is built in an Italian factory ;)

Makes sense, likely it will take them a much longer time to get them to the states especially because of the whole process leading up to them being on a boat
which engines does europe get?

they better not get better engines than us !!
Europe gets several engines....including a couple of nice diesels.

Do you know which exact engines they are getting? I'd like to know, just out of curiosity.
if you check the allpar site you will see all the engines the renegade will come with. quiet a few for europe

An aside - this picture does not have the "No Step" steps. I so wish we were getting the diesel here (yes they are getting nicer engines, lol)!
diesel would be awesome to have but like mentioned before it seems like something they would start out with in the wrangler and then eventually the renegade
Got an e-mail from Jeep, inviting me to register for a pre-launch test drive.
They also mentioned the 'dealer tour' would start mid september.

Just a few more weeks to meet the Renegade in person.

awesome

are there any other new vehicles you have tested already or any that you plan on test driving soon?

I'm not looking for a new car right now, but I am very interested in the Renegade. There's no other small SUV that has the same boxy styling, so no need to testdrive other vehicles.
If the Renegade suits me, I'll put it on my shopping shortlist for when the time has come.
In the Netherlands the "Jeep Renegade Exclusieve Preview Events" are about to kick off, starting september 26th in Amsterdam and Haarlem.
The event will tour 24 Jeep dealers around the country. Unfortunately the dealer nearest to my city is at the end of the tour. So probably no hands-on experience until late October for me.

At least you're taking the time to get well informed with what is out their, something many don't do.

What else is on your shopping list if you have added anything to it yet?
