Hello everyone!!

Has anyone installed a hullavator to assist load a kayak?

The instructions on the hullavator says the cross bar must stick out 4-6" on one side where the hullavator is to be installed.

The Thule fit page lists that my
AeroBlade Load Bar Pair of 53" cross bars will fit, but I am worried that they don't hang off the side enough...

Has anyone installed a hullavator? And if you have can you please tell me what length Thule cross bar you are useing?

Did you end up getting the 53” cross bar or did you go with the 60”?

Welcome to the forum. This thread is over 4 years old and it was his only post. I used 48" bars on my Renegade (not for a hullavator) and they did not go to the edge. I would think a 53" bar would be cutting it close, a 60" would be better for the overhang.

This is what a 48" looks like, they barely clear the outside edge of the rails, a 53" would probably just clear the outside of the door. A 60" is probably the best way to go. Hope this helps.
