A 225/65/17 will turn less per mile than the 215/60/17. On a measured mile with the larger tires the odometer will read less than a mile but it won't be a big difference. For example a thousand mile trip may show up as 995 miles, not accurate, just to show the type of difference. The speedometer works the same way. At 65mph your speedometer might show 64mph.

The tire manufacturers recommend not to exceed a 3% tire size difference. There are tire size calculators you can find online that you can use to determine new sizes. The 225/65/17 has not caused any problems on the Renegades that I have heard.

Based on What I've read there are Two tires in the 255/55R18 that are candidates in the 18R bracket for us to chose from.

General Tire Grabber AT2 Tire 255/55R18
BFG KO2 A/T 255/55/18

I found a great writeup disputing the AT2 v/s the BFG KO2; Im considering the AT2's and hoping they will fit with the spacer mod.

Have you tried either of these tires yet? If so, did you use spacers? I have the 18" wheels on my 2016 Limited 4X4 and want to keep the factory wheels, but go with a more aggressive looking tire.

Tire size, need help

I have a 2015 jeep renegade sport. I have done nothing to it, I plan on putting on a 1.5 inch lift, but have no idea what the maximum tire I can put on. I am willing to put on spacers up to 2 inches on the side.. I was wondering what the maximum size i could put on my 16 inch rim is. I just don'jt like how low the jeep sits and would like for it to look higher up. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Been reading through the thread, but not seeing what I'm looking for.
I have a 2017 Renegade that came with 225/55/R18

I realize this isn't ideal for a beefy tire, but I'm installing my Daystar 1.5" lift Saturday.

What is the biggest tire I can install on this rim with 1.5" lift and without using wheel spacers or rubbing.

Not wanting to push it until I buy some new rims later.

Thanks
