Mine got a similar hit. It was up to 13 thousand CAD to fix and similar to what it was mentioned that had a rental for all of the other driver’s insurance coverage and then my insurance coverage got me a different car after because it was in there a long time waiting for parts and all the work. But it was still too new and they didn’t write it off.

Going to likely need a new hatch. The unibody in the rear is likely crushed in that rear quarter area. Rear quarter and trim, full bumper assy and cover. This is probably a good 6-8k repair at a certified Jeep body shop. If anything with the drivetrain or suspension is damaged, you can almost bet on this being totaled. That sucks, I hope the other driver has coverage.
The repair man told me yesterday it's 14,000 in damage. He said pretty much anything that could break on the quarter panel side of my car was messed up. It's at a dealership.
