Tranny play in the mountains

I've lived in the flats of southern GA all of my life and I love to go to the mountains for hiking, camping, kayaking, etc. I took my new Renegade up to the edge of the Appalachians. Highest I climbed was 33-- feet and the Renegade has a lot of tranny play in the mountains. I wasn't impressed, but that's a 9-speed for you. It was jumping all over the place and tried to run at 5,000rpm coming downhill on some extreme declines. I found it was easier to run in Shiftronic mode... overall, it did fine climbing once I changed over
