Not sure of the question but you can turn the light switch from auto to off. Are you going to be using the radio in the Renegade? if so you can just push the power button on the radio and it will run for about 20 minutes or so, no ignition key required, no lights. You will need to push the power button a number of times though. Hope this helps.

The daytime running lights are always on even if the lights are off. We want to run the car for an extended period of time without any of the lights on including the daytime running lights. Does anyone know how to turn them off?

You could tape a piece of cardboard over them, that should work.

I think I found the answer. There is an option in the menu to turn off the DRL's. Turn the ignition on, turn on the radio and press the button on the lower right of the display screen. On my first radio the button was "More", on my new radio is a + and "Apps". A screen will display with a settings option. Select settings and a series of options will display. Scroll down to "Lights". Select lights and a series of options will appear for lights. Scroll down to DRL and select off. That should turn off the DRL's all the time. You will need to select Done at some point to save your setting I believe.

Give that a try, it should work.

You will see a down or up arrow on the left side of the screen, that is for scrolling.

dgr401 that worked on my 2018 Jeep Renegade Limited. I would only add to press the Apps button, then press the right arrow and that’s where I found Settings. Follow the rest from above.

I have a 2017 jeep renegade and also have problems w dash light. Turns off and on. Just took my jeep in due to sky track not working I was charged 4,000 to fix dont have warranty bc of comic and lack of work. Worried about this expense

My 2015 has an overly aggressive dash light dimmer control. It can make the dash look like a disco as I travel in and out of shade. Could that be what you are referring to? My workaround is to set the dash illumination control to full dim at night (above the bottom detent) and full bright during the day. Anywhere in the middle will give varying degrees of disco effect.

I have a 2015 jeep renegade and the running lights just started staying on all the time running the battery dead so I can't drive it. Dealer can't get it in till next week and I need my car for work. Any help would be appreciated

My running light stay on all the time on my renegade.. it runs my battery completely dead so I can't drive it. I have to get a jump everytime I leave the house . I have tried turning off the drl's but the running lights still stay on. I even flipped the dowme light switch down and the day time running light still stay on
