Jeep offers some options on the European spec Renegade that are not offered on the U.S. Spec Renegade. Some options that are available in the U.S. on one model are not offered on other models. Hopefully if Jeep hears directly from potential U.S. Renegade customers they may consider offering these features in the U.S.

For example:
In Europe you can have either a MySky roof or a CommandView glass sunroof, in the U.S. you can only have the MySky.
In Europe you can have Xenon headlights as an option, but not in the U.S.

Other limitations, the "Advanced Technology Group", which includes LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus, Forward Collision Warning-Plus and ParkSense rear park assist are offered as options on the Latitude and Limited but not on the Trailhawk.

These have been discussed at length in other threads so we don't need to rehash that here. The purpose of this thread is to share Jeep's contact information so we as a community can make our voices heard. Please call, email, chat or post on social media your displeasure with your chosen limitations to the U.S. Spec Renegade.

Please reply to this thread with the feedback you receive from Jeep on your requests.

Great thread! Time to launch Email bombs. My only beef is the Xeon lights and the stowage compartment in the seat cushion in the front passenger seat.

Many of these option differences are due to Federal mandates. The U.S. D.O.T. for example has a totally different set of requirements for headlights vs. Europe.

They are projector style HID, there's no reason in a vehicle of the renegade's dimensions, they could not be DOT approved.

There IS a reason why they aren't here though. Go into the leaked pricing thread and look at everyone complaining about the pricing. Then go look at what things sell for in the EU. Their market research said the cost of importing them and having inventory wasn't worth the cost of carrying inventory to find the thin margin of buyers who would be willing to pay $35k + for a loaded limited or trailhawk.

I could care less about the HID lamps. I would have liked the sunroof, but it'd be the first option to go at the price point they announced if I wanted to buy.

I'm really ticked that the the price configurator has now confirmed, absolutely, no "Advanced Technology Group", on the Trailhawk, including no LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus, no Forward Collision Warning-Plus and no ParkSense rear park assist. They are offered as options on the Latitude and Limited but not on the Trailhawk, that just sucks.

You have someone willing to pay up for the options but they are not available. Your personal choice, if you want it or not, so please don't rehash all those other threads here. I work in aircraft technology, we always find ways to do what the customer wants, so don't tell me the tow hooks are in the way.

Let the phone calls, emails, chats and social media campaign begin!

Here's my biggest complaints:

1) Why no orange color on the limited? That Brown/Grey/Orange leather interior looks sharp, but I don't see a single exterior color that it would go well with. To get the orange exterior with that interior, you have to go with the Latitude which only gives the cloth interior, but that is the only way to get the orange exterior with the orange interior accents.

2) It would be nice to allow a few more options on the Latitude with the 1.4L & 6-speed. Things like keyless entry, 9-speaker sound system, and leather interior should be offered without having to upgrade to the 2.4. Some of us like manuals, so we do not consider the 2.4 to be an "upgrade".

Or offer the 2.4L with a manual. Or even better - a (turbo)diesel option with a manual. Maybe someday...
