Does anyone know or has anyone ever swapped out their Uconnect unit from a 5.0 to a 6.5? Can the dealer do this after deliver or am i stuck with what I have?

My dealers parts guy said it wasn't possible do to extra bits and wiring to the ceiling panel. Supposedly there's a lot of factory integrated stuff.

Sorry that made no sense. Not possible to install due to extra parts and wiring to the ceiling control panel installed at the factory.

Have you heard of anyone installing an after market unit to handle similar functions like navigation and voice to text?

There is a YouTube video of a guy doing it in Brazil I think. You lose the ability to adjust the car functions though.

I wouldn't mess with that kind of mod, trade it in if you're really unhappy. I use my phone for as a GPS and texting in a vehicle is never critical.
