Hi

Heard about this app which I believe is coming to the uk soon.... As it's already on the us App Store what good features can I look forward to using?

Anybody use it, I'm hoping there's a "send to sat nav" feature from safari on your phone?

I have the uConnect App for Android, and so far it's nothing to write home about. You can lock, unlock, set off alarm, and make the lights flash to find it in a parking lot. Then there's an option to add new email addresses to those that will receive notices if your car is stolen or anything.

No other options...unless they involve adding additional Apps that I am unaware of.

Honestly not sure. Went to Jeeps user manual download page and it only listed the Uconnect for 3.0 and 6.5.

I do know though if you have remote start that this feature is also available at least with the 6.5.

Based on my reading of the various manuals, no. AS far as I can tell the uconnect app needs the cellular connection to work, which isn't in the 5.0 head unit.

Of course taken individually and as a group, these are easily the worst manuals I have EVER seen for a vehicle in my entire life, so I'm not saying my interpretation is actually correct.

I've uninstalled it, I haven't found any association between the phone and Uconnect other than media playback from the phone. You just use the radio as an amplifier and control the phone audio from the phone. I expected the Uconnect would be able to use and control the phone as a media device.

I have the App (iPhone) and connected it to my other car with the 8.4 system. I totally agree with the statement above in bold. I tried it a couple times to see if it works. But I found it useless in the real world and haven't used it since.

It will occasionally send you an email with some very basic information about the "health" of the vehicle. Things like if the car has the MIL light on. That is useless since you can see the MIL when you get in the car.
