Just trying get an idea of how many people are still waiting for their Renegade to turn up at their dealer or be handed over to them.
Mine has been sat at the UK port for over two weeks now and I've just had a message left by Jeep customer services to say they still can't confirm the delivery date to my dealer yet:(

I think the dealers and the manufacturers are being pretty poor at the moment with information. I opened a case file with FCA group regarding the update I am waiting on and they say they will call you but never do it's always me having to call them.

Let's hope things get sorted out for everyone orelse they will have some angry customers

Was chasing a delivery date with my dealer today, was very apologetic but basically couldn't give me a date...!!!

Hi. Was due to collect mine Sunday, but was told Wednesday last week that a software fault had been discovered with the alarm system. It's a model in the showroom, but apparently the issue is affecting all new renegades and they're unable to release any of their cars at moment that have been purchased.

A flash update was released over the weekend they told me that should have sorted it but only worked for petrol engines. Diesels still remain an issue. Been told to sit tight and wait. Not sure how accurate what I've been told is, just sharing what my dealer has told me. They also told me that apparently, Jeep may be offering some form of compensation once finally resolved.

Would be good to hear if and when this is sorted, what folks are being offered.

Frustrating

I feel really frustrated on behalf of all of you - it must be so annoying.

I can't understand why this is only affecting UK deliveries when we see our friends over in Europe able to collect theirs?

I know different countries have different rules regarding how long/loudly a car alarm may sound for, so I wonder if it's related to that?

I really hope it's not an issue with the keyless entry/go system. I didn't really want that as I've heard about the security issues with the system in general, not just with Jeep, but I really wanted electric folding mirrors, and the function pack was the only way to get them.

I hope everything gets resolved and that you get your Renegades soon! Post lots of pictures when you do!

Thanks. I don't think it is the keyless system. The car I'm waiting for doesn't have that.

The garage said they'd been told it was just right hand drives as the alarm system had been originally configured around left hand drives, hence why UK models being affected. That said, they did say a flash update for European models had also been released.

Fingers crossed Jeep sort it soon. Just find it odd as others have speculated on another thread on here that this has only just come to light. The car I'm buying has been in the showroom for a while. Apparently they just never locked it... But that doesn't make sense for the demonstrator outside.

Lack of clear info isn't helpful, as it leaves customers speculating as we're doing here.

Agreed. If we're optimistic, then we can only assume that it's something minor. The Renegades were only delivered to UK dealers around 13/14 February, I think, so maybe it's something that hasn't come to light immediately.

From my own experience, I test drove two versions at two different dealers. Both tried to push the sale of vehicles they already had in the showroom, saying I could take them away in 7 days. Neither were the colour I wanted, so I declined, but that at least demonstrates that the dealers certainly didn't know of the issue until that point.

Anyway, let's hope it's resolved soon!

They probably just see it as a waste of their time and rather just have us waiting since it's all just a matter of time till we get our Renegades. Looking at it from that end, their end, it's slightly understandable, but still, keeping us in the dark helping our experience.

Hi All

I've had an update from Jeep customer services this afternoon in that my OE 1.4T is still scheduled for delivery to my dealer this coming Friday but wont be confirmed for sure until Friday?
I have also been told that a good will gesture will be considered based on how over due the delivery is?

That's a fair point. Good news is that my dealer has called to say Jeep are having the replace part of the alarm system. It's a new component which Jeep are sending out to fix the cars affected. They're hopeful it'll be done by weekend. Fingers crossed for others waiting for their orders.

Congrats. Looks great.

Did you get to drive it away today in the end?

Frustratingly, despite best intentions from garage of mine being ready by today or first thing tomorrow... By 5pm I hadn't had a call. After chasing, was told parts still not arrived from jeep. They sounded just as frustrated as me. Now telling me it should be arriving Sat.

For a new launch, this isn't terribly inspiring or reassuring. Hopefully for others, parts are coming through on time.
