Hi guys,
I have a 2017 jeep renegade and I've searched for an update through the VIN and I found the suitable one. But the problem is When I insert the flash memory into the USB port the files couldn't be read in-spite that I followed all the step regarding flash memory format.
Please Help!!

We have talked about it a little bit.

It seems that the/our current software is sooo out of date that the uconnect can't recognize the new update format.

uconnect recommends that we take our Renegade to the dealer so that they can perform several updates to get us caught up.

what if there is no dealer in my Country, what should I do ?
Check out this Uconnect website. enter your VIN.

Customer service might be able to send you the updates via USB drives to get you up-to-date (because you don't have support in your area).

I would try one of the numbers below.

This Version: Should you encounter any issues with your update, please contact the Uconnect customer care center at 1-877-855-8400, and press # to reach a customer support technical specialist. Canadian residents , call 1-800-465-2001 (English) or 1-800-387-9983 (French). For residents outside US and Canada please contact your local dealer. Once the file is done downloading, double click the 7z file to extract. For further instructions, refer back to the Downloading the update section.

I wonder if any of our younger tech savvy members could create an emulator programme or maybe direct us to such a thing. This will fool the current formatted files to believe they are being read by a current up to date vehicle instead of our Jeeps that are a couple of years old and out of date.

It would work in the same way that you can play a PC game from the time of the "Asteroids and Space Invaders" upon a modern PC.
