Found this article couple days ago in the Detroit News and they are saying some models will be available the end of 2014 and all models available beginning of 2015.

It's about time we got some information about this.
Looking forward to when that time comes and when we do start seeing more and more of them on the roads.

Let's hope that is worst case!! I unfortunately won't be ready to buy until next fall so I may get to see what the 2016 has to offer (which I don't expect to be much different).

What was your impression of it in person? A lot of people are saying it seems larger in person than it does in pictures.

Much larger. I was very impressed with the interior space compared to the photos. Improved seat quality and trim material also. I sat in the patriot right after for comparison.

Despite being called a liar in this thread, as a Jeep salesman I still would like to contribute. As I found this thread searching for info on release dates, I can assure you that us grunts on the floor have no idea. Our managers might know, but I doubt even that because if they knew then we might know and then everyone would know.

It comes down to FCA wanting to sell through the remaining inventory of Compass/Patriots before the Renegade hits the showroom. I sold a Patriot today to someone who wouldn't have bought one if I told them the Renegade would be here in December, January.

March/April is probably pretty accurate.

Welcome JeepSalesGuy, glad you could join us and you would like to contribute. We are glad you are here.

Now please understand, no one called you a liar, if you look at my quote:

Rule number one, never ask a salesman anything, doubtful any of them know how to speak the truth, since they only know how to lie.
I said "doubtful", to give guys like you a break, as you are well aware you work in an industry where the generalization of perception is 90% of the salesman will lie to get a sale.

The "doubtful" part is there are maybe 10% that are the nice guys, but unfortunately for us consumers it is hard to tell the difference. That is why TrueCar and many other buying services exist and are successful to help us consumers cut through the games.

That aside, again, welcome to the forum, we really do appreciate your insight. Perhaps you will be able to share your best insider tips on buying a Renegade, the Mopar accessories, Extended Warranty or any other tips you can share, and even some of the tips you can't share, but do anyway since your one of the 10% nice guys.

WHAT!!!! I have little to no patience! These next 5 months is gonna suck! That's so true, they should have just claimed it as the 2016 Renegade. It might have even been more desirable

Wow. That's really pushing it for a 2015. Heck, this summer I had to make the call on putting some money into my current car or going shopping. Even having paid up and committed to another year of driving that sucker, this thing may STILL not be here.

They pretty much pissed away the buzz with that post.

I do not understand where the Renegade for the USA will be built. In Italy in the Melfi plant or in Brasil in the new Plant ?
GREAT question Simone77, I had been wondering the same thing, you will find posts from a few months ago were we discussed the new Brazil plant. So that got me to looking for the latest info I can find and it seems to confirm that the U.S. models may be coming from Brazil, the dates now align, see quotes below.

NOW, the SCARY part, some people have voiced concern how the quality coming out of the Italy factory would be, based on pass performance of the Fiat 500. I read one person, some months back on another forum, voicing their concern that the Brazil car factories in general were even worse. Hopefully someone here has some information on the quality of cars built in Brazil? On the positive side, it is an all-new factory in Brazil.

Pernambuco is scheduled to start producing 1qtr 2015 (think March), the Renegade will be the first model coming out of those lines (pre-series kicked off this week). FCA has been shipping Brazilian workers to Melfi since the beginning of this year to familiarize them with the production line and processes for a smooth ramp up at pernambuco. In fact, other FIAT launches have been pushed back to give priority to Jeep: if you look at initial capacity and the first 3 products, Jeep will eat up 80% of it between the Renegade and the Compass-sized model, and the other 20% will be used for the new FIAT pickup (sandwiched between the two Jeeps, time-wise). Other FIAT models will have to wait until they double plant capacity in the coming years.

In Pernambuco plant (Brazil) it seems that FCA prioritized the new pickup production (project 226) over Fiat C-SUV (project XSU) that is the brother of the future Jeep compatriot (like 500X and Renegade). So the first Jeep Renegade for customers should start to be produced in Pernambuco in March 2015, than the new pickup and than the Jeep compatriot.
I suppose that part of the Jeep Renegade production will be used for NAFTA market.

Fiat Chrysler: In spite of laying off workers at existing operations, the market leader is pressing ahead with its all-new factory in Goiana, Pernambuco, which will have a capacity of 250,000 units per year. This will open at the end of 2014, with full series production starting early in 2015. The new factory, costing around €1.3 billion, will start by building the Jeep Renegade and Fiat 500X, becoming the second factory to make these vehicles after the start of production at Fiat Melfi in Italy by the end of 2014. In addition, the factory is expected to build a larger C-segment SUV for Jeep, the new Fiat Linea B-segment and Viaggio C-segment cars.

I now have to ask if my Jeep was made in Socialist Italy or Socialist Brazil? I'm becoming less happy.

Raz, my suspicions are that based on this publicly announced delay, which does seem to be par for the course for FCA, is why they are trying to generate new buzz tomorrow, October 14th, as discussed here:
http://www.jeeprenegadeforum.com/forum/337-jeep-renegade-videos/5033-trailhawk-video-teaser.html
It's not buzz, it's vaporware and no info. Heck, is the stuff in the video even remotely production, or even US spec drive train? Those concerns aside, buzz doesn't keep if you just give it a nudge. People go and buy what's available.

I was very disappointed to see the "Spring 2015" announcement by Jeep on my Google+ account.

All that much longer to wait now. Still well before I'm ready to buy though, so I'll hang in there.
