That looks just like my car except I peeled off the hood decal (sticker).

I wish I could get that decal permanently painted on - I like the look just wish it were paint.

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I like the decal. Mine is a silver Trailhawk with a decal, was it hard to peel off? Do you have any pics of your Trailhawk with the decal removed?

How did you go about removing it? Use a heat gun/hair dryer?

Heating up the adhesive I find is the best way to ease the process.
It was stuck on there really well. I waited for a warm day and just peeled it off. I didn't use my heat gun. It took a little muscle, but it wasn't too bad. I was a little worried that I would have to take the squirters off, but the plastic decal just stretched around it and came right off.

But the way, there is no saving it as it stretches out of shape (not that I wanted to save it).

I wouldn't mind the black on the hood so much if it was painted & shiny like the roof was. I just didn't like the matte finish "tape" that the decal is made from. I didn't want any stripes on my Challengers either.
Is that sticker for anti-glare?
You may be onto something there... I'm curious what the non-sticker owners have to say about that.

I personally like mine and have kept it on, but I haven't had any problems with glare either. I also use 303 protectant on my dash for a matte, non-glossy finish.

Great tip about using the 303, it's good stuff, thanks.

For those of you who don't know what we are talking about here is a link:

I haven't noticed any on-road glare from the hood. I really like the look of mine without the hood sticker.
^ What color is your vehicle? I ordered a white TH with the decal hoping it would help with any glare. I'm in AZ, so it's mostly sunny & my eyes are sensitive to bright light. Will have to wait until I actually get it to see whether it is effective or not.....

At least with the sunny conditions and a light colored car you'll stay cool while you're out, even when coming back to your parked vehicle that's been left out in the sun
I have an orange Latitude and have ZERO problems with glare...then again, I'm only like 5'9". I don't see much of the hood at all while driving...certainly not enough to be distracting or to notice any glare.

I'm in NY...but it was in the 90s for a few days last week and pretty **** sunny. Was wearing non-polarized sunglasses and I don't recall ever thinking that there was a glare or my attention being drawn to the hood because of it.
^ What color is your vehicle? . . .
My car is silver (Glacier Metallic).
Hello, for the $150.00 Im leaving the hood sticker on. Plus on our Silver TH it looks pretty good anyway.

I've got to get out and do more off road, hopefully in the next few weeks.
Is that sticker for anti-glare?
The other day I was looking through some of my various Renegade brochures that I got from different places. And in one under the Trailhawk description they listed it as an "available anti-glare hood graphic".

This makes total sense , especially living in the southwest.
