Vibration when engine is cold?

I bought a 2016 Renegade a month ago. Everything seemed fine but now that the temps have plummeted the car is vibrating as if I'm blasting subwoofers until it warms up. It doesn't vibrate when moving in reverse, but once I brake the vibration starts again. Doesn't seem to matter whether it's in gear or idling. Nor is it speed dependent. I'm in southern Illinois and this started with temps in the 30s. I have an appointment to have it checked on Friday but am looking to get some ideas of what could be wrong now. If you can't tell I am not much of a car person. It has the 75th anniversary trim with a manual transmission and 1.4L turbo engine. 48K miles on it.

Based on searching this could be loose engine mounts? Something else? Thanks!
