I'm liking the car even more. With my previous evaluation, I went pretty hard on the gauge cluster looks and the "aluminum" look bezels. I have to say in trailhawk red, they look less cheap. The gauges also work a LOT better looks wise with the 7" info display.

Also, at 6' 6.75", the trailhawk's lift actually gets the lift gate to where I don't whack my head.

One negative is that the trailhawk definitely struggles more 0-60 than the sport with 4wd, 2.4, and 9 speed did. It also feels a bit wonkier coasting. You decelerate kind of harshly at first. Which I suspect is the different final drive ratio.

What do you mean it feels a bit wonkier coasting?

The sport felt a bit trucky, but otherwise pretty normal relative to behavior one would expect out of a more traditional AT configuration.

The trailhawk on deceleration felt like when you went to coast, it downshifted and engine breaked pretty rapidly. I didn't do the drives back to back, so I can't say for sure that it actually does anyhring sooner. It may just be that the final drive ratio being different causes the engine braking caused by the downshift to be more abrupt.

I don't feel like mine does that. It doesn't downshift when I coast. It just slows down like you would expect. Maybe the one you drove is one with bad programming.

The transmission has been a matter of discussion and issue for people. The down shifting when coasting sounds like it might be something to do with the transmission, so it could be related to the larger transmission issue.

It might be, but it could also be due to the fact that it was pretty bad traffic conditions with having to cut throttle mid acceleration a lot. This particular dealer is in the middle of strip mall **** and it was just before rush hour, so kind of heavy traffic and lots of sudden "I'm turning in here" behavior.
