I might be interested if it comes with an option for a more powerful engine. I'm thinking 220 to 250 hp. And a manual transmission option too.
You are half right, they will stretch the Renegade chassis but the body will be unique, such as shown here:makes you wonder, will they just stretch the Renegade to be the new C-segment and then develop a smaller SUV to be a little smaller then the Renegade is now.
I dont think they are doing it, but it would make since for them to do what i said earlier in this thread. Stretch the Renegade 5 inches, push the back seats back 2in which leaves 3 more inches for the cargo. have the 2.4 as the base engine the Hurricane as an optional and the 3.2 pentastar. i've really heard only 3 main complaints for the renegade and this will solve all 3. Not enough cargo space, not enough power, not good enough mpg for class.If the Renegade has some people thinking the Cherokee is a better buy... I don't see how this larger Patriot/Compass replacement has a future.
