What features will trickle down from the GC?

I think that the Renegade will be getting the Grand Cherokee headlights instead of the Cheokee headlights. I think that jeep won't be wanting to stir up crazy amounts of controversy, they already likely have enough just because they are building a small jeep anyway.

I think its actually going to be more like Patriot. Jeep has said the Renegade is going to take its styling from the classic Willys Jeep....

I think theres going to be more trickle down from the KL Cherokee than from GC TBH...

That sure seems like what it could be like, suits what the Renegade should be like and seems like something that Fiat would apply

Renegade should also get the AWD system Jeep debuted on KL Cherokee and Chrysler has now applied tot he 200. Its a fully automatic disconnecting rear diff that reduces parasitic drive-line loss...

What about the 9 speed???
AWD is a must, I think they want to make this a world vehicle, so with that being said, a number of world markets will want AWD tech. If they want to maximize fuel efficiency then the (ZF?) 9 speed is needed, but i haven't heard any updates about it.

although if its small and light enough it wont really need the efficiency gains of a 9 speed....

We'll see the thing is still giving Chrysler headaches.

if a 9 speed makes it even more fuel efficient, why not?
anything to make it better and 1+ up it's competition is a win.
