Quickie: What is the door handle button seen on the front driver and passenger door handles. They are not seen on the rear handles.

Ignore the brown Scion xB

I think it locks the door (provided the key fob is present)
I'm going to guess that is a fully loaded Limited model with push button start & proximity key. Pushing that door button with the P key in your pocket will open & lock the doors.

This is for keyless entry and go ... touch the inside of the front grips (left and right side) to unlock the Doors ... touch the little knobs to lock the doors again
Thanks guys.

I'm struggling to come up with stuff to discuss to hold our interest till the US release date of 2045.

That is the Keyless Enter-n-Go system. If you have the RFID keyfob in your pocket, you can lock the vehicles using that button. Or just pull the handle (without touching that button) to open a locked vehicle (another button on the inside of the handle for unlocking).

Then take a seat and push the start button and roll out - without ever using a key or pulling the keyfob out of your pocket.
I have keyless entry and start on my current car (a Saab) and together with the HUD it is the best and most useful option I got by far.
Not much faster than pressing the door unlock button on your keys, but still convenient if you are going with the higher up trim level.
