It's a 2017 Jeep Renegade Trailblazer. The Head Unit was a UConnect (RA4?) with 3G. Since it couldn't connect to UConnect in the USA, I was unable to edit features of the car such as the door unlock buttons.
I've never heard of a "Trailblazer" trim. Is/was that a U.S. trim?

Or did you import it from somewhere else? Kind of sounds like it, since you write that you couldn't connect it "in the USA"...

Sorry! That was supposed to say Trailhawk!
OK. So why the part about not being able to connect "in the USA"?

I've got a 2021 Trailhawk with Uconnect 4C Nav; so I'm not that familiar with earlier Uconnect versions. But assume you mean the fact that older 3G Uconnect units aren't now able to connect for updates...?

I don't think that would have affected your ability to access settings like door locking options... I thought the updates were for like nav maps...

There was no place on the unit to adjust car settings.
Well, all sorts of settings are only accessible through my Uconnect 4C Nav. To include locking options, and lots of other stuff.

Are you sure those were accessible through your Uconnect? Had they ever been accessible?

Because, again, I don't think updates -- or the inability to do them -- would affect any settings options...

If you have an XM subscription you can do it on your phone and play it through the Xtrons head unit.
That would actually be a good solution. Except I never have my cell phone actively paired with my Uconnect -- I don't talk on it when driving, don't want to run down the cell phone battery, and don't want to use an Android Auto cable (except with Gaia GPS when off-roading)...
